Did you know that Aero Jet Wash is one of the few on-wing engine wash service providers that complies strictly with the OEM manuals. For instance when washing CF6-80 series engines on a B767, the Boeing manual directs the operator to inject 10-15 U.S. gallons per minute for every wash cycle. In the B757 manual for the RB211 series engines the manufacturer instructs the operator to inject at a rate of 8-16 U.S. gallons per minute. These flow rates have been carefully selected to ensure optimum effectiveness of a wash program.

For those operators who are still reluctant to wash engines to recover performance losses and also improve on fuel consumption, we here at Aero Jet Wash have recently adopted a performance guaranteed program to ensure our customers fully recognize the benefits of a routine engine wash.

Pure water or detergent wash cleans the core of the engine by removing contamination and accumulated dirt from the engine airfoil surfaces. This results in a much more efficient engine which generally has higher EGT margin and better SFC by approximately 1.5 to 2 % per year. Keeping engines "clean" is essential to fuel savings and prolonging the engine life.
