While engine compressor washing with hot water is effective, engine compressor washing with water based detergent is the most effective to eliminate oil, soot, unburned fuel, soil and salt which encrust compressor components. We always use Aqueous-Based cleaners with a mixture of corrosion inhibitor.

If an operator can save 1.25% to 1.75% per year on fuel costs with fleet wide implementation of compressor hot water wash program, a savings of 1.75% to 2.25% is expected with a routine compressor detergent wash program with a hot water rinse.

Lower the EGT:
According to the latest studies, typical EGT recovery of 8 to 10 degrees C decreases SFC by approximately 0.8 - 1.5%, so keeping the engine clean is also essential to fuel savings.

Increase the TBO:
Washing engines has been known to extend the life of the engine due to cleaner compressors, vanes, stators and turbines.

We use de-ionized water which is the purest form of water available. The detergent we use is water based and also contain a corrosion inhibitant solution to ensure its safe use on internal parts of a turbine engine. Unlike competition we inject the hot water or the mixture of hot water and detergent directly into the core of the engine to ensure total wetness of the compressor and turbine blades.
